A wholesaler that imports product overseas and sells to local business is currently looking to add to their administrative staff. The account receivable clerk Wilil assist the commercial director with any AR projects, communicating with customers on past-due invoices and providing additional documentation / information as needed. This position will start off on a part-time schedule of 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday until the AR clerk is brought up to speed on the daily activities of the department. At that point, an opportunity to move to full-time hours will become available.
The work environment is comfortable with a well established team in place. Computer work will include various related activities including but not limited to re-sending invoices, credit notes & reconciliations requested by customers. Maintenance of the customer database will be handled daily as payments are received and account statuses are updated. Additional administrative tasks may include filing, organizing and telephone work.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of administrative experience, including 1 year of bookkeeping related experience. If a candidate has worked within the wholesaling industry, this experience would be very highly valued.
The starting pay rate will be determined after the interview, but we expect it to fall between $16 - $19 per hour.
