A leading manufacturer of electrical building products is currently adding to their maintenance team a preventative maintenance mechanic. The company has been in operation for over 60 years and has experienced sustained growth over the last 10+ years leading to the addition of several new buildings to their operations. The maintenance team has been a highlight of the operation, keeping the equipment and building in excellent condition throughout the year.
This position will primarily consist of conducting scheduled maintenance to high speed packaging and production equipment. Additionally, assist in the troubleshooting, repair and service of other equipment and systems throughout the organization. The preventative maintenance mechanic will work off of equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
The base schedule for this position is Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. This is adjusted occasionally where longer days may be worked Monday – Thursday and then a shorter day on Friday.
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and any additional technical training is also valuable. Candidates should have experience reading technical instructions and equipment blueprints. Candidates must have an excellent mechanical aptitude, communication skills and the ability to work within the team with initiative to get jobs done.
A valid driver’s license is required in order to operate company vehicles. Steel toe shoes are also required.
